Inaugural Gala Postponed

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to spread rapidly across this country and in Illinois. Unfortunately, all major events and public gatherings are beginning to be affected by it.

We at South Asia Institute (SAI) have been looking forward to welcoming all of you to our Inaugural event on March 14, 2020. In addition to several exciting features planned for the night, we were going to be highlighting the recent release of Zeshan B’s Brown Power single.

However, after considerable deliberations with our leadership we have decided to temporarily postpone the event as part of SAI’s commitment to preventing the spread of the infection and to protect the health and well-being of our visitors, supporters and the staff. 

Our exhibition, South Asian Modern Masters, remains open to the public during our regular business hours.  We are focused on your safety, and we continue to sanitize all our public areas at SAI in accordance with CDC guidelines, and we urge visitors who feel sick to contemplate visiting SAI at a future time.

Please continue to monitor our website and social media postings, as we will be monitoring the situation very closely and hope to be able to reschedule the event in the very near future.
