Bios:

Pandit Partha Bose is Internationally recognized as a leading instrumentalist who continues his musical journey beyond 5 decades of training under Maihar Gharana from Guru Pandit Monoj Shankar. Performances in major festivals across 5 continents, lec-dems; workshops at reputed universities, distinguish his presence in the global cultural arena. International media - including BBC, Voice of America, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, German Radio, Voice of Russia, Indian Radio and Television - have featured Bose in interviews and performances. Tabla Legend Pandit Kishen Maharaj acknowledged his virtuosity by accompanying him in a historic concert in Kolkata in 2006.

Recipient of Nikhil Banerjee Memorial Award, Banga Gourab Award, and titles of Sangeet Ratna and Vadya Shiromani. Partha Bose was also invited by the Government of India to lead a cultural delegation to represent the country in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Independence in Africa.

Indranil Mallick, a leading tabla player of current generation tabla players of rare skill, has already established himself both as a soloist and accompanist. Born to a family of genuine music connoisseurs, he received his initial training in tabla when he was only five from his uncle, Sri Montu Mallick. Later he was trained by Prof. Dhabol Bandyapadhaya. From 1985 he was under the guidance of Sri Uttam Chakraborty, senior disciple of tabla giant, Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri and now he is under the direct guidance of Swapan Chaudhuri. Indranil belongs to Luckhnow Gharana style of tabla.

Among his numerous awards and distinctions in tabla performance he stood first in the Yuva Utsav organized by the state Government of West Bengal. In 1997 he stood first in the prestigious Dover Lane Music Competition and earned; "The Best Talent Of The Year"; for 1996-97, trophy awarded by the H.M.V Music Corporation. Indranil holds a Sangeet Visarad; Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music focused on tabla, from the University of Chandigarh, which he earned in 1999.
